San Francisco Portfolio Day is June 5th

The San Francisco chapter of AIGA invites you to Portfolio Day. Known as the best portfolio review on the West Coast, this is an opportunity for students to get valuable one-on-one feedback on their portfolio and career goals from some of the Bay Area’s best designers. Over 90 top Bay Area designers will serve as reviewers.

You may bring your portfolio in book form, or load your images on a laptop and bring that with you. There will not be any internet connection in the review rooms.

Girls’ Art Camp Needs Speakers!

Christina’s Art Adventure Camp is seeking established designers, fresh grads and undergrads to come speak, pro bono, to middle school aged girls about career opportunities in the creative disciplines. Please help! The summer beckons. Girls need positive role models. You are just the person to do it!

Females are especially encouraged to donate their comments, time and support but fathers, brothers, uncles and sons of women are invited to support the camp as well. The Belmont, California camp is in its 3rd year, looks to be a long term gig and certainly deserves the support of the design community.

(Incidentally, they do hire instructors each summer in graphic, fashion and interior design disciplines, among others. Applynow for next summer!)
